National Pet Month
As National Pet Month is here, we thought there was no better time to talk about the show we’ve been excited about all year!
National Pet Show
The National Pet Show is an opportunity that doesn’t come around all too often. This year it is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on the 5th and 6th November from 9:30 am until 5 pm. Although it is an event centered on pets and their well being, you aren’t allowed to bring your own pets. However, there will be many, many pets there, with over 50+ breeds of dogs making an appearance alongside numerous cat breeds, a list of reptiles and a lot of small animals.
You will have the opportunity to meet animal experts and even a few celebrities such as Channel 4’s Super vet Professor Noel Fitzpatrick (who will host Super Pet Live) and BBC’s Spring and Autumn Watch presenter Michaela Strachan (who will host Super Dogs Live). A fantastic opportunity to check out your favourite pets and learn a thing or two about how to care for them.
Whether you like dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, fish or ponies, the National Pet Show will be a great day for any animal lover.
Royal Canin Dog Zone
When visiting this area, there are a few key things you may want to look out for. Including the Nerf Dog Activity Ring where the dogs will showcase their class and agility to Hill’s School 4 Dogs. This is based on the most effective ways to train your dog and find the correct balanced diet for them.
You will also get the opportunity to meet 50+ breeds of dogs, learning key information on the specific breed’s size, coat length, temperament, and diet and exercise regime. If this wasn’t enough, there’s also going to be dog talks, Super Dogs live AND the Super Vet live tour!
Hill’s Cat Zone
With the chance to meet many breeds of cat in ‘World of Cats’, receive information on your choice of a cat. Then learn how to care for them and how to train them from the experts, it’s a no-brainer. You don’t want to miss this.
Learn how to groom your cat and look after them properly, the differences between the breed of cats and workshops to participate in, all centred around one thing. Your feline friends. Also, if you’ve ever wanted to enter your cat into a pet show, the Top Cats event will give you all the information you will need on how to do it. If you are interested in taking part in this show then email julied@brandevents.co.uk for all the information you’ll need.
Small Furries Zone
Just like the other areas, this one is based on one thing, small animals. Listen to experts and get an insight into which small pet would be ideal for you and what it takes to care for them. Get up close with some of the cutest small animals you can imagine. Then take a seat and listen to the tips on what they require.
For all of the rabbit owners/potential rabbit owners, there is a new feature called The Secret Rabbit Garden. This features everything rabbits naturally love. It was created to inspire rabbit owners to learn and adapt to the things in a rabbit’s natural habitat. Don’t worry, the rabbits taking part will be on a rota to enjoy the garden and get rest when they need to.
Exo-Terra Reptiles
If you’re a fan of the weird and wonderful then this area might just tickle your fancy. Speak to some more experts, check out the animals, find out which one might be right for you and learn all you need to know about caring for them. It is a great opportunity to see a wide range of unusual creatures and maybe find your new household pet.
